The Jetty Ocean Village- Southampton

The Jetty Ocean Village Review: One of the Best Luxury Restaurants in Southampton for Date Night

A d/invite

If you’re searching for a luxury restaurant in Southampton with beautiful marina views, incredible food and the perfect atmosphere for date night, then honestly… you need to add The Jetty at Ocean Village to your list.

Southampton has so many places to eat, but every now and then you find somewhere that feels genuinely special from the moment you walk in, and The Jetty is exactly that.

Situated right on the marina in Ocean Village, this elegant seafood bar & grill combines luxury dining with a relaxed coastal feel, making it one of the best restaurants in Southampton for couples, celebrations, special occasions or simply one of those evenings where you want amazing food in a beautiful setting.

A Luxury Marina Restaurant in Southampton

One of the things that makes The Jetty stand out is the location.

Overlooking the yachts and marina at Ocean Village, the entire restaurant has that relaxed luxury atmosphere that instantly makes an evening feel elevated. Watching the boats, the reflections on the water and the lights around the marina whilst enjoying dinner honestly felt like being away on holiday for the evening.

If you love waterfront restaurants, stylish interiors and those luxury little moments together, this is exactly the kind of Southampton restaurant you’ll love.

Whether you’re planning:

  • a Southampton date night
  • anniversary dinner
  • birthday meal
  • girls evening
  • luxury lunch
  • pre-cruise dining experience
  • or simply somewhere special to eat in Southampton

…The Jetty really delivers on atmosphere.

The Food at The Jetty Southampton

The Jetty have recently welcomed a new head chef and launched a new menu, and everything we had was genuinely incredible.

We started with oysters for me, whilst Jaime chose the Cornish fish chowder, which was rich, comforting and full of flavour.

For mains, Jaime went for the fillet steak cooked perfectly, and I chose the stone bass which was absolutely beautiful. Fresh, light and full of flavour whilst still feeling indulgent.

And of course, dessert was non-negotiable.

I had the Baileys panna cotta and Jaime chose the sticky toffee pudding- both were amazing and honestly the perfect ending to the evening.

You can really tell the menu has been thoughtfully designed to feel premium whilst still approachable and relaxed.

One of the Best Date Night Restaurants in Southampton

There’s something about marina restaurants that automatically make date night feel more romantic, and The Jetty has exactly that atmosphere.

The combination of:

  • waterfront views
  • luxury surroundings
  • relaxed ambience
  • attentive service
  • and genuinely amazing food

…makes it one of the best date night restaurants in Southampton in my opinion.

It’s the kind of place where you can dress up slightly, enjoy a slower evening together and properly switch off for a few hours.

Why People Love Ocean Village Restaurants

Ocean Village has become one of the most popular dining destinations in Southampton for good reason. The marina setting gives it a completely different feel compared to the city centre, especially in the evening when everything is lit up around the water.

If you’re visiting Southampton or live locally and are looking for:

  • luxury restaurants Southampton
  • best restaurants Ocean Village
  • romantic restaurants Southampton
  • marina restaurants Southampton
  • seafood restaurants Southampton
  • luxury date night Southampton

…The Jetty deserves a place high on your list.

Final Thoughts on The Jetty Southampton

Honestly, this was one of those evenings that just felt effortless in the best way. Beautiful setting, lovely atmosphere and genuinely amazing food from start to finish.

The Jetty is perfect if you love luxury dining without it feeling too formal — elegant, relaxed and ideal for a special evening together.

Definitely one to book if you’re planning your next Southampton date night or searching for a luxury restaurant in Ocean Village.

A Hello & Little Catch Up

A   H E L L O

And a little catch up

Enjoy

Good afternoon from the sofa, of course! I said I would be consistent with my blogging, and then I overthink EVERYTHING and that I have nothing interesting to say! :)

So this is just a little ramble and update, we have had a few exciting things recently since the new year. One was an in person 3rd round audition in London for Harper which she did so well! (still yet to hear back so fingers crossed) we had the best day in London, Sienna and Jaime came with us as it was a 2 part audition so we grabbed some lunch (obviously being in London we wanted to somewhere that we don't have in Southampton but ended up at Fiveguys) hahaha!

We got to London a little early (the best start) and started off with a coffee and croissant in Amelias where we have been before, always wonderful service and great coffee and juices!!

I do love the buzz of London every time we visit, we printed the girls faces on M&M's from the M&M shop- so cool! Headed into the lego store and just had a good mooch around.

And even if Harper doesn't get the part, the experience is so good for her and she enjoys it so much! The children really do put their all into these auditions and self tapes (the bit you have to do before the in-person audition) but we still have our fingers and toes very much crossed! I have also been doing 4 sefltapes with the younger two- much harder than the older two haha! but fingers crossed for them as well. It is always such an amazing opportunity to even get a selftape and we do put so much effort into them, their day will come and we can't wait!

Jaime and I also had a quick 2 night trip to Spain to surprise his dad for his 70th birthday with his sisters, which was so lovely. We stayed in the Hotel La Laguna Spa & Golf Visit Here, and after a surprising arrival where our room was half decorated (they are doing some refurbishments) we got a wonderful little upgrade due to no more of our rooms available and stayed in one of their suites- honestly, stunning!

There was no hot water on the last night/morning so cold showers before our flight wasnt great as we were not told any information either, so slightly disappointing with that but overall was lovely. I would definitely go back! We also paid around £20 each for use of the spa which was a lovely relaxing addition.

We also have a flat we rent out, and the tenants have recently moved out so we are fully re-decorating there, I have been helping Jaime with the painting, and hopefully get to do the fun part of staging soon so will share some products and furniture as I absolutely love designing homes!

A little glimpse of the sofa, cushions and lamps I got from Homesense- bargain and amazing will look so nice when its finished!

We also got a little surprise addition to the family!! Everyone meet Pearl (I think that's going to be her name haha!) She is just the cutest and soooo good and cuddly!!

Other than that we had a little trip to town with the older two girls to spend their Christmas money and vouchers and have been carrying on with our homeschooling, keeping on top of the house work, food shop, cleaning, school runs for younger two, horse riding and clubs plus the gym and work, blogging/vlogging and anything I can manage in the 24 hours that seem to fly by!

Hope you all have a lovely week and I will catch up next week!
